The mission that we share at Trinity and with all Christians is that our faith is not a Sunday morning faith. It is an active faith that shapes our entire lives. In our baptism, we are welcomed into the body of Christ. As such, we are reconciled and forgiven through Christ Jesus, free to serve our neighbor and the stranger.
We offer several mission projects here at Trinity. Our quilters make several quilts through out the year, the Prayer and Pie group make prayer shawls to give out to those in the community who have lost loved ones, have been sick or are in need of a little extra comfort in difficult times. Our Men of Trinity have the annual Island Hog Roast and their Shrove Tuesday pancake feed with proceeds going to needed events in our community. Trinity Lutheran Church Women (TLCW) have different events through out the year to help out with different mission projects.
The local Mobridge Ministerial Association has several events they help with in the community.
The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) is one of the largest Christian denominations in the United States, with nearly 3.3 million members in more than 8,900 worshiping communities across the 50 states and in the Caribbean region.
