Meet our Team

Our Church thrives because of the energy and style of the people who are a part of our leadership. Our team is led by Pastor Justin O. Van Orman, our dedicated church council, staff and church volunteers.

Pastor Justin O. Van Orman

Pastor Justin is a native of Mobridge and was installed as Trinity’s Pastor of Word and Sacrament on Pentecost Sunday, May 15, 2018.  Prior to returning home to Mobridge, Pastor Justin simultaneously served two rural congregations in Southeast Ohio.

Pastor Justin is the son of the late Robert and Joyce Van Orman of Mobridge.  He graduated from Mobridge High School in 1989 and summa cum laude from Northern State University, Aberdeen, SD in 1994, with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Early Childhood.  Following his graduation from NSU he became the Director and Head Teacher of Bethlehem Lutheran Preschool in Aberdeen.

In 1995, Pastor Justin moved to St. Paul, MN, where he attended Luther Seminary and graduated with a Master of Divinity degree in May of 2000.

Pastor Justin is the youngest of three.  His older brother Robert lives in Malabar, Florida, and his older sister Kim and her family live in Aberdeen, SD.  Pastor’s three cats Agnes, Annie, and Asher allow him to live with them.  In his downtime, Pastor Justin enjoys walking, hiking, kayaking, traveling, theatre and all genres of music.
